The Foundation for Protecting the Historical Monuments of Bihor County was founded at the decision of  Bihor’s County Council and the Local Council, Oradea on April 13th, 2006, when was also constituted the Manager’s Council of the Foundation.

Purpose: Developing activities of knowledge, consolidation and capitalization of the historical monuments according with the law and with the stipulations of a Statute of Juridical, Romanian, non-profit person.

Headquarters: no 5, Parcul Traian
According the administration and efficiency criteria, the Foundation has the competence to found: subsidiary, branches, agencies and representations both in the country and abroad. It is conceived for a functioning period of time undetermined.

Activity object: Ensuring the protection of historical monuments found on the public and private territory, of the administrative – territorial unit of Bihor County.

It elaborates and ensures special programs of prevention the degradation of the historical monuments, respecting the notices of the National Committee of the Historical Monuments.

It initiates, realizes and unrolls activities of execution of some reconstruction work, conservation, restoration, promotion of the: historical, of art, architectural and urban monuments existing in the county.

It informs the specialized organs for the application and taking measures for protecting the historical monuments.

Creates capitalization and promotion materials of the monuments, participates to the financing of the works and organization of the actions.
